Terms of Service

1. What this is

HelloRoom Image Transfer moves images from your phone or computer to the HelloRoom app on a Quest headset. It is free, provided as-is, and run by a private operator. Using it means you accept these terms.

2. No accounts — connect codes and device registration

There is no sign-up. Collections are created by the HelloRoom headset app, which holds the collection's internal PIN. Access from any other device is granted by a short-lived connect code shown in the headset: redeeming one registers that browser or headset as a connected device with full access — view, download, upload, and delete. Anyone you give a code to gets that same access.

A connected device stays connected until the headset owner disconnects all devices, its registration is displaced by newer devices, or the device's stored data is cleared. Share a code only with people you trust with your images.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to what you upload, and you confirm you have the right to upload it. The operator claims no ownership and uses your images for nothing beyond serving them back to you.

4. Acceptable use

• No illegal content, and nothing sexualizing minors.
• No content you lack the rights to distribute.
• No malware, and no files disguised as images.
• No attacking the service: guessing PINs, evading rate limits or quotas, scraping collections, or disrupting availability.

5. Temporary storage, not a backup

Keep every original somewhere else. Images and entire collections may be deleted at any time, without notice and without recovery — for space, maintenance, abuse, or no reason at all.

6. Limits

25 MB per image, a per-collection storage quota, a cap on the total number of collections and connected devices, and rate limits on access attempts and new collections. Limits may change without notice.

7. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind — no guarantee of availability, retention, recovery, accuracy, fitness for a purpose, or confidentiality.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for lost data, lost images, unauthorized access, downtime, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Suspension

The operator may remove any collection, block any client, or shut the service down entirely, at any time. If you do not accept these terms, stop using the service.

10. Changes

These terms may change. The version stamp above changes with them, and the acceptance checkbox is asked again when it does. Continued use after a change is acceptance.
